Amigurumi

Definition

(Japanese: 編みぐるみ, lit. "crocheted or knitted stuffed toy") is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures. The word is a compound of the Japanese words 編み ami, meaning "crocheted or knitted", and 包み kurumi, literally "wrapping", as in 縫い包み nuigurumi "(sewn) stuffed doll".[1]

Princess Dolls

These dolls were very fun for me to make. They were made as Christmas gifts for my nieces. The wonderful part about them, is each one could be made to match the differences that you can see in each of my wonderful girls.

It would be so much fun to work with you to create a unique gift for your little loved one as well. Working to decide the style, the hair, the colors.

Pattern for these adorable little dolls comes from a very creative woman by the name of Olka Novytska. The book is called "Mini Kingdom" and it has a very large arrangement of cute patterns to put this little kingdom together.

Little Dragon

This adorable little purple dragon was made for a friend of my sisters, who was just about to have a baby. They had chosen lavendar and teal as the babies colors and I knew that she loved dragons. I thought that this tiny thing would make a great gift for the baby to be!

Sweet Giraffe

My grandmother has loved giraffes for as long as I can remember. I made this sweet little guy for her as a gift for Christmas last year. She ended up getting it a little sooner, as she ended up in the hospital and I thought that it would make a great pick me up.

The spots are little hearts that are placed all over! He is just the cutest little ray of sunshine!
